Job summary

Pointe Homes is seeking a Warranty Technician to join our El Paso team. The role focuses on addressing warranty service appointments, evaluating coverage, coordinating trades, and guiding repairs to completion with homeowners and office staff.

You will assess each claim, communicate progress, and ensure timely resolutions while maintaining professional relations with clients and subcontractors. This position requires organization, clear communication, and a commitment to quality service.

Responsibilities

• Attends warranty service appointments as scheduled by office and evaluates if the issue is covered or needs repair by Pointe Homes.
• Communicates with Warranty Specialist on trades needed to complete the warranty repair process.
• Evaluates each claim item and determines proper action to resolve it in a professional and timely manner.
• Communicates with the homeowner and office on the status from the inspection of the warranty issue.
• Articulates and executes an action plan with homeowners, subcontractors, and office personnel.
• Performs basic repairs that can close out warranty repairs quickly.
• Orders and ensures materials are ready for the time of service and coordinates with subcontractors for supplies.
• Monitors subcontractors to ensure quality work is completed.
• Satisfactorily closes out each applicable claim and obtains homeowner signature to close the warranty file.
• Follows up on all warranty calls and provides daily notes on claim progress to the office.
• Tends to weekend and after-hours calls, prioritizing emergencies and non-emergencies as needed.
• Maintains a calm, respectful demeanor and a professional relationship with clients, subcontractors, vendors and office staff.
• Wears professional attire that positively represents Pointe Homes.

• Communicates with Warranty Specialist on what trades need to be scheduled to complete the warranty repair process.
• Evaluates each claim item and determines proper action to resolve each in a professional and timely manner.
• Communicates with the homeowner and office on the status from the inspection of the warranty issue.
• Must be able to clearly articulate and execute an action plan with homeowners, subcontractors, and office personnel.
• Performs basic repairs that can close out warranty repairs on a quick basis.
• Must order and have ready any materials necessary at the time that work will be performed and check with subcontractors to make sure they have the materials needed.
• Checks on the subcontractors performing the repair to ensure quality work is done.
• Must satisfactorily close out each and all applicable claims with customers and collect signature from homeowner once the completion of repair to close out warranty file.
• Follows up on all telephone calls related to warranty claims and provides office with daily notes on all claim progress.
• Warranty Technician must tend to all calls on weekends and after hours, must be able to prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Must be able to always maintain a calm and respectful demeanor in all situations.
• Must maintain a professional relationship with clients, subcontractors, vendors and office staff.
• Must wear professional attire that positively represents the image of the company.
