Job summary

Staples Supply Chain in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor station staff and supervise operations during a fast-paced warehouse shift. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, maintain safety standards, and support supervisors as needed.

The role requires warehouse experience, MHE certification, basic English, and ability to work flexible hours including weekends. Staples offers full-time benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Hold Material Handling Equipment Operator certification and operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets or electric pallet jacks.
• Basic English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Agree to safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Ability to work in a warehouse with seasonal temperature variations.
• Willingness to mentor new staff and support supervisors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and train material handling staff; fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment safely to move products within the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow safety practices and procedures.
