Job summary

Staples in Sharon, MA is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor and train new material handlers, stepping in for supervisors as needed. You will operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks, keep the workspace clean, and uphold safety practices in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• If hired full-time, ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; overtime based on business need.
• Lift/cushion/pull equipment or merchandise up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Must be able to walk/stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator: mentor and train new material handlers and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, electric pallet jacks) to move product while following safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace and uphold Staples' safety culture.
• Contribute to Staples Supply Chain's mission by ensuring timely deliveries to customers.
