Job summary

Staples is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator in Tampa to mentor and train material handlers and cover for supervisors when needed. You will operate forklifts and other MHE equipment in a fast-paced warehouse, while maintaining a clean, safe workspace and supporting safety initiatives.

Responsibilities include mentoring teammates, adhering to safety procedures, lifting up to 100 pounds, and ensuring efficient material movement.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Overtime may be required for full-time associates based on business needs.
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Able to walk/stand 100% of the time.
• Minimum 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Material Handling Equipment Operators and assist supervisors as needed.
• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and support a strong safety culture.
