Job summary

Staples in Omaha, NE is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor staff, fill in for supervisors, and move product using forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets or electric pallet jacks while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain Material Handling Equipment Operator certification.
• Ability to keep work area clean and safe.
• Collaborative approach with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to follow safety procedures quickly and maintain safe work practices.
• Able to work in a warehouse with seasonal temperature changes.
• Basic English communication (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor material handlers; train and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks following safety rules.
• Move product efficiently while keeping workspace clean and safe.
• Contribute to Staples Supply Chain success by delivering to customers.
