Job summary

Staples Supply Chain in Omaha, NE is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor, train, and step in for supervisors as needed. You’ll operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks while maintaining safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications include 12+ months in a warehouse, ability to pass a drug screen, and willingness to work overtime. HS diploma preferred, safety shoes required, and you must be at least 18.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent legally permissible.
• If hired full-time, overtime hours may be required based on business needs.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator: mentor and train new material handlers and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, electric pallet jacks) following safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and move product within the warehouse.
