Job summary

Staples is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator in Massachusetts to mentor and train new material handlers, and to fill in for supervisors as needed. You’ll operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within a warehouse while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires at least 12 months in a warehouse setting, ability to pass a drug screen, and lifting up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible
• Full-Time associates must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift
• Able to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds
• Must wear safety composite work shoes
• Ability to walk/stand 100% of the time
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator: mentor and train new material handlers; fill in for supervisors as needed
• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks to move product
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace; uphold safety culture
• Support Staples Supply Chain in delivering products to customers
