Job summary

Motion Industries in Ruston, LA seeks a Customer Service Representative to accurately fulfill orders and handle incoming calls. You will respond to product inquiries, provide quotes, and perform order entry while supporting inventory and shipping processes.

Under supervision, you may negotiate pricing within guidelines, foster relationships for repeat business, and coordinate with Account Representatives. High school diploma and strong communication skills required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 0–3 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Reliability, organization and attention to detail are essential.
• Strong communication, multi-tasking and time management are required.
• Moderate computer skills and product knowledge are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic customer inquiries about products, provide quotes and process orders.
• Place customer orders by phone, fax, email, electronic methods or in person.
• Negotiate sale and purchase prices within set parameters to influence gross profit.
• Build relationships to drive repeat business and identify process improvements.
• Ensure inventory levels are sufficient by sourcing items in branch or supplier inventories.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods and coordinate with accounts representatives.
• Expedite backorders and prepare orders for shipment to customers.
• Handle customer returns as needed.
