Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to accurately fulfill customer orders and handle incoming calls under close supervision. You will respond to product inquiries, enter orders, and coordinate shipping and inventory needs.

The role requires reliable, organized individuals with strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency to manage pricing, order processing, and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 0–3 years related experience.
• Customer service and communication skills preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Basic computer skills; ability to use email and business systems.
• Product knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic product inquiries, provide quotes, and handle order entry.
• Place customer orders via phone, fax, email, or walk-in sales.
• Negotiate price within parameters to influence gross profit.
• Adjust non-contract pricing for customer needs while protecting profit.
• Build relationships to drive repeat business and suggest process improvements.
• Ensure inventory levels by ordering items when needed.
• Place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per PO without approval.
• Source products in branch or supplier inventories.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods.
• Collaborate with Account Representatives to ensure satisfaction.
• Expedite backorders and prepare shipments; handle returns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
