Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer to apply continuous improvement methods across operations, driving change with data analytics, Lean tools, and CI leadership.

You will partner with management and frontline teams to deliver safer, higher quality, on-time, cost-efficient performance, while developing employees and sustaining Kaizen results. This role may supervise CI engineers and report to the CI Manager/Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 7+ years of related work experience in Warehousing, Transportation, or Manufacturing.
• 7+ years in Warehousing, Transportation and/or Manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio.
• Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and SQL/DAX experience.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or training.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
• Identify and drive data-driven CI initiatives; support startups, retrofits, and expansions.
• Coach teams in lean methods; facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events.
• Provide regular data-based progress reports to site leadership and stakeholders.
• May supervise CI engineers and support staffing decisions.
