Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer to drive continuous improvement across our operations. You will identify opportunities, lead cross-functional CI projects, and apply data analytics, Lean tools, and engineering methods to boost safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

You will mentor teams, collaborate with management, and ensure sustainment of improvements through Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and standard work, while aligning with strategic goals and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain.
• 7+ years of related experience in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing.
• Proficient in Power BI or Tableau for data visualization.
• Lean Six Sigma certification and experience with CI methods.
• Knowledge of CAD, slotting, and WMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
• Apply data-driven CI methods to drive value and implement improvements.
• Coach teams in lean principles and sustainment of gains.
• Manage CI resources and report to CI leadership when applicable.
