Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to advance continuous improvement across the operation.

You will identify opportunities, lead change initiatives, and drive value through data analytics, engineering methods, and Ryder lean tools for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth. You will interface with employees at all levels, manage CI resources, and align with a General Manager or Director of Operations to deliver measurable results and sustainment through Kaizen events and Value

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 7+ years related experience.
• 7+ years in warehousing, transportation or manufacturing.
• Microsoft Office skills with Access, Excel and PowerPoint; Visio.
• Power BI / Tableau data visualization and SQL experience preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge; PDCA and value stream mapping.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering/data analysis functions.
• Experience with WMS and automation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps to drive value.
• Manages high impact CI projects and supports start-ups, retrofits, and expansions; coordinates with management and customers.
• Coaches employees in CI, QA, and Lean principles; applies slotting, labor standards, layouts, and flow optimization.
