Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer to strengthen the Continuous Improvement culture across the operation. You will apply data-driven CI, Engineering, and Automation to raise safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth metrics.

You will interface with employees at all levels, may supervise CI staff, and collaborate with management on transformation plans and go-live activities to sustain results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis to identify gaps and drive CI plans.
• Manages high impact CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, and costs.
• Demonstrates Lean/CI methods and coaches teams in QA, Lean principles and data-driven improvements.
• Facilitates Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events; supports start-ups, retrofits and expansions.
• Provides regular progress reports and supports inventory and supply chain strategies.
