Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data-driven CI and automation across warehousing, transportation and manufacturing operations in the United States.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coach on Lean and QA principles, and deliver sustained improvements in safety, quality and cost. The role interfaces with General Manager/Director of Operations and may supervise CI resources.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 7+ years in warehousing/transportation/manufacturing or
• MS with 5+ years experience; MBA requires undergrad in Engineering.
• Excellent MS Office suite with Access, Excel and PowerPoint; Visio preferred.
• Data viz (Power BI/Tableau) and database programming (SQL/DAX) preferred.
• Proven ability to lead standard work, PDCA, VSM, Kaizen and Lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth.
• Collect data, perform analysis, map processes and develop continuous improvement plans.
• Coach teams in Lean, Quality Assurance, and CI methods; facilitate Kaizen events.
• Monitor progress with regular data reports and sustainment actions.
• Support design of warehouse/transport processes and automation opportunities.
