Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive continuous improvement across operations. You will apply data analytics, lean tools, and engineering methods to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.

The role interfaces with all levels and may manage CI resources under the CI Manager/Sr. CI Manager. You will coach teams in CI, QA, and Lean principles, lead cross-functional projects, and deliver sustained improvements through Kaizen events and VSMs.

Qualifications

• Requires 7+ years in Warehousing, Transportation or Manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with relevant domain experience.
• Expertise in Lean Six Sigma and data analysis.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, SQL and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes; identifies gaps and implements CI plans.
• Leads high-impact CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Coaches teams in lean methods and implements Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events.
• May supervise CI engineers and support hiring, coaching and performance management.
