Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead CI Engineer to drive continuous improvement across warehousing and transportation operations. You will lead data-driven projects, coach teams, and implement lean methods to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

You will collaborate with account management and customers, manage CI resources, and report progress to the CI Manager/Sr. CI Manager while aligning with site leadership for sustained results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 7+ years in warehousing/transportation/manufacturing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) is required.
• Data visualization (PowerBI/Tableau) and SQL experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps; develops CI plans.
• Leads high-impact CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
• Coaches employees in CI, QA, Lean principles and facilitates lean events.
• Supervises CI engineers and QA professionals as needed; supports hiring and performance management.
• Facilitates Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen Events; mentors process owners in lean methods.
• Provides regular data reports and recommends inventory/SC strategies.
