Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to advance the Continuous Improvement program across operations. You will identify opportunities, lead data‑driven CI, engineering and automation efforts to boost safety, quality, delivery and cost, interfacing with all levels of the organization.

You may supervise CI engineers and partner with a General Manager or Director of Operations, delivering value through Lean tools and data analytics in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Education and experience aligned with warehousing, transport or manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office including Access, Excel and Visio.
• Data visualization and database programming skills preferred.
• Experience leading Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Knowledge of warehouse design, slotting, and labor planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact CI projects to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Drive Lean and Six Sigma methods across cross-functional teams.
• Develop and execute continuous improvement plans with measurable results.
• Coordinate with account management and customers as needed.
• Facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events end-to-end.
• Mentor CI/QA professionals and participate in hiring decisions.
