Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer to drive continuous improvement across our operations. You will lead data-driven CI, Lean, and automation efforts to boost safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth, interfacing across the organization. This role may supervise CI resources and reports to the CI Manager/Sr. CI Manager.

You will apply analytics, engineering methods, and Ryder lean tools to identify root causes and sustain improvements, collaborating with management and customers as needed.

Qualifications

• This role requires a strong background in CI with data-driven methods and Lean tools.
• Experience leading high-impact CI projects in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing.
• Proficiency with data visualization and database programming for analytics.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes.
• Leads CI projects across the operation; supports startups, retrofits, and expansions.
• Coaches teams in Lean, QA, and CI methods; facilitates Kaizen events and VSMs.
• Reports progress to site leaders and recommends supply chain strategies.
