Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead CI Engineer to drive continuous improvement across operations. You will apply data analytics, Lean, and engineering methods to boost safety, quality, delivery, and cost while guiding teams and coordinating with management.

You will oversee CI initiatives, support automation projects, and report on progress to leadership, aligning with site objectives and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain and 7+ years in Warehousing/Transportation/Manufacturing.
• Master’s in Industrial Engineering, Business Admin, or Supply Chain with 5+ years; MBA requires undergrad in Engineering.
• 7+ years in Warehousing & Transportation and/or Manufacturing.
• Microsoft Office Suite with Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio; data visualization tools.
• PowerBI/Tableau data viz and SQL (DAX) programming; PDCA, VSM, Kaizen knowledge.
• Experience in slotting, labor planning, layouts, metrics; CAD and WMS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collects data, analyzes, maps processes; identifies gaps and implements CI plans.
• Leads high-impact CI projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost.
• Coaches teams in CI, QA, Lean; supports automation projects.
• Facilitates Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events; drives sustainment.
• Delivers regular data reports; recommends inventory/supply chain strategies.
• May supervise CI engineers; participates in hiring and performance.
