Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive continuous improvement across our operations. The role focuses on data-driven CI, engineering, and automation to boost safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.

You will leverage Lean tools and analytics to identify root causes and sustain gains, interfacing with all levels of the business. The position may supervise CI engineers and will align with the CI Manager/Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years in warehousing or manufacturing, or MBA plus 5+ years.
• Expert in MS Office (Access/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio).
• Experience with data visualization (PowerBI/Tableau) and SQL-based data work.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, PDCA, VSM, Kaizen, 5S principles.
• Advanced understanding of engineering/data analytics for operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and complete high-impact CI projects across the operation.
• Apply Lean and QC methods to improve safety, quality, and cost.
• Facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events; coach teams.
• Provide regular data-based progress reports and site metrics.
• Support start-ups, retrofits, pricing inputs, and go-live certifications.
