Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer to drive continuous improvement across operations. You will lead data-driven CI initiatives, manage cross-functional projects, and coach teams in lean, QA, and process optimization to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Responsibilities include analyzing data, performing root-cause analysis, and guiding automation and workflow improvements. Travel and cross-site collaboration are possible to support startups, retrofits, and expansions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 7+ years in Warehousing, Transportation, or Manufacturing.
• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management with 5+ years; MBA requires undergrad in Engineering.
• 7+ years in Warehousing/Transportation and/or Manufacturing.
• Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint & Visio; advanced in PowerBI/Tableau.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and related improvement tools.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes.
• Lead high-impact CI projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
• Coach and develop CI and QA professionals; supervise when needed.
• Facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events; drive sustainment of improvements.
