Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive continuous improvement across operations. You will identify and lead CI projects, apply data analytics and Lean methods to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.

You will mentor teams and collaborate with management to deliver measurable results. You will leverage advanced data tools (Power BI, SQL) and engineering practices to map processes, close gaps, and sustain gains across warehousing and transportation functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Business/Supply Chain with 7+ years related work experience in Warehousing, Transportation or Manufacturing.
• 7+ years related experience in Warehousing, Transportation and/or Manufacturing.
• MS Office suite with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint & Visio. Expert.
• Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX).
• Proficiency with Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S/Workplace Organization.
• Core engineering and data analysis: slotting, labor planning, layouts, metrics.
• Warehouse design tools (CAD, Slot3D), WMS and Labor Mgt Systems knowledge.
• Knowledge of transportation design tools (JDA, OTM) and analytics tools (Tableau).
• Lean Six Sigma; cPMP/ISO/QMS preferred; APICS/SC certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; documents processes; identifies gaps and implements CI plans.
• Manages high impact CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
• Coaches employees in CI, QA & Lean principles; applies lean methods to improve operations.
• May supervise CI engineering and quality professionals; participate in hiring and performance management.
• Facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events; sustain improvements.
• Provide regular data-driven reports and supply chain strategy recommendations.
