Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer to apply continuous improvement across operations, driving data-driven CI, engineering, and automation to boost safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth. This role interfaces with employees at all levels and may manage CI resources, reporting to the CI Manager/Sr. CI Manager.

The position requires strong data analytics, Lean tools, and experience transforming warehousing and transportation operations through Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 7+ years of related work experience.
• MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing industries.
• Proficiency with PowerBI/Tableau and SQL for data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI projects with measurable safety, quality, and cost improvements.
• Conduct data analyses and map processes to identify gaps.
• Coach teams in Lean principles and Kaizen events.
• Support startups, retrofits, and expansions with CI input.
• Produce regular progress reports to leadership.
• Design and monitor QA/QMS elements and corrective actions as needed.
