Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive continuous improvement across warehousing and transportation operations.

You will lead data-driven CI, apply Lean tools, and manage cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost while interfacing with senior operations leaders. The role emphasizes data analytics, engineering methods, and business impact, with opportunities to supervise CI resources and influence site performance.

Qualifications

• Requires 7+ years in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing; or 5+ years with a Master’s in IE/ MBA.
• Expertise in MS Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) for data & reporting.
• Experience with PowerBI/Tableau for data visualization; SQL/DAX for data querying.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; identifies process gaps and delivers CI plans.
• Leads high-impact CI projects across operations to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
• Coaches teams in Lean, QA, and CI methods; supports Kaizen events and value stream mapping.
• Supervises CI engineers and participates in hiring decisions as needed.
• Delivers regular data-driven progress reports to measure site objectives.
