Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive continuous improvement across warehousing and transportation operations in the Indianapolis area.

You will lead data-driven CI, automation, and engineering efforts to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth, interfacing with management and operations teams. You will apply lean tools, data analytics, and engineering methods to identify root causes and sustain improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field with related experience preferred.
• Experience leading continuous improvement projects in warehousing, manufacturing, or transportation.
• Proficiency in data visualization and database queries (PowerBI, Tableau, SQL).
• Strong communication and team leadership across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Drive Kaizen events and value stream mapping with cross-functional teams.
• Coach and mentor CI engineers and quality professionals; influence with data-driven decisions.
• Prepare regular progress reports and site objectives updates.
