Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to advance Continuous Improvement across the operation. You will drive change using data analytics, engineering methods, and Ryder lean tools to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.

You will interface with employees at all levels and may supervise CI engineers and quality professionals. You will lead Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events, mentor process owners, and deliver sustainment with strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4-year or higher degree in a related field with experience in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead CI projects and drive measurable results.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, QA, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Collect data, perform analysis, map processes, and identify gaps for CI initiatives.
• Lead high-impact CI projects across the operation and support start-ups and expansions.
• Coach teams in lean methods and drive value stream mapping and Kaizen events.
• Provide regular status reports and recommend inventory/supply chain improvements.
• Participate in personnel decisions and manage performance for CI staff.
