Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data-driven CI initiatives across operations.

You will identify gaps, map processes, and lead high-impact projects that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth while coaching teams in Lean, QA, and CI practices. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in warehousing/transport/manufacturing, strong data visualization skills (Power BI/Tableau), and expertise in PDCA, VSM, Kaizen, 5S with CAD/WMS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with required experience.
• 7+ years in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing.
• Expert with Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S; lean methods.
• Knowledge of CAD and Warehouse Management Systems; automation experience.
• Lean Six Sigma and CPMP, ISO/QMS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes.
• Manages high-impact CI projects across the operation to improve results.
• Coach teams in CI, QA, and Lean principles; support cross-functional initiatives.
• Lead Value Stream Maps & Kaizen events from ideation to sustainment.
