Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data-driven CI across operations. You will identify changes, lead automation efforts, and improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth while interfacing with leaders at all levels.

The role emphasizes Lean tools, engineering methods, Kaizen, and VSM, with responsibilities including coaching teams and delivering sustainment results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in relevant field with years of related experience.
• 7+ years in Warehousing, Transportation or Manufacturing industries.
• MS Office skills with Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio (expert).
• PowerBI/Tableau data visualization and SQL/DAX knowledge (preferred).
• Lean Six Sigma and related certification knowledge (required/preferred).
• Knowledge of WMS, CAD tools and automation concepts (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collect data, perform analyses, map processes, and drive CI plans.
• Lead high-impact CI projects across operations to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Coach and supervise CI engineers; implement Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events.
• Deliver regular progress reports and influence inventory/supply chain strategy.
• Support regulatory compliance and quality management systems.
