Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer to advance Continuous Improvement across warehousing, transportation, and manufacturing operations in New York. You will identify changes, lead data-driven CI initiatives, and deliver performance gains in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.

Responsibilities include coaching teams, facilitating Kaizen events, and interfacing with management to ensure sustained results. Strong analytics, Lean tools, and project leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 5–7+ years of related experience.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Excel.
• Lean Six Sigma certification and experience leading CI projects.

Responsibilities

• Collect data, perform analyses, map processes, and drive value through CI plans.
• Lead high-impact CI projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Coach teams in lean, QA, and CI methods; facilitate Kaizen events.
• Supervise CI engineering and QA professionals; participate in hiring decisions.
• Generate regular progress reports and recommend supply chain strategies.
• Support start-ups, retrofits, and expansions including go-live and certifications.
