Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to champion continuous improvement across operations.

You will collect data, drive lean initiatives, and manage high-impact CI projects spanning safety, quality, delivery, and cost; mentoring teams and interfacing with management and customers to deliver measurable value. Responsibilities include leading Kaizen events, applying VSM and PDCA, and supporting automation initiatives while reporting progress to CI leadership.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 7+ years in warehousing/transport/manufacturing, or MBA with undergrad in Engineering.
• 7+ years in warehousing/transport/manufacturing.
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio; expert level.
• Knowledge of data visualization (PowerBI/Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX).
• Proficiency in Leader Standard Work, Visual Management, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S/5S Workplace Organization.
• Experience with core engineering and data analysis functions (slotting, labor planning, layouts, metrics).
• Knowledge of WMS/Warehouse design tools (CAD, MOST, Slot3D) and labor management systems.
• Awareness of dedicated services and managed transportation networks; use of JDA, Appian, Llamasoft, OTM, Tableau.

Responsabilidades

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps; develops and executes CI plans to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
• Lead high-impact CI projects; support start-ups/retrofits/expansions; identify and support automation initiatives; interact with account management or customers.
• Coach employees in CI, QA, and Lean; apply methods like Kaizen, VSM, A3 chartering; lead cross-functional CI initiatives to sustained results.
• May supervise CI and quality professionals; participate in hiring and performance management with guidance.
• Facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events; mentor process owners in lean methods for operational excellence.
• Provide regular data-driven progress reports and recommend inventory/SC strategies.
