Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data-driven CI initiatives across our operations in New Jersey. You will lead high-impact projects, apply Lean tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.

The role requires strong analytics, project leadership, and the ability to coach others in CI methods while interfacing with managers and operators to sustain improvements and deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 7+ years in warehousing/transportation/manufacturing
• Master’s degree with 5+ years experience; MBA option with undergrad engineering
• Proficient in Power BI, SQL, Excel and Visio; data visualization and programming basics
• Lean Six Sigma certification and experience applying CI tools across large operations

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage high-impact CI projects to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost
• Collect data, perform analysis, identify gaps, and develop and execute comprehensive CI plans
• Coach teams in lean methods and CI principles; facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events
