Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer – Continuous Improvement to drive data-driven CI efforts across the operation, partnering with senior leaders to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

You will apply Lean tools and engineering methods, coach teams, and manage CI initiatives with a focus on measurable value delivery. The role interfaces with multiple levels of the organization and may supervise CI resources, reporting to the CI Manager/Sr.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Warehousing, Transportation or Manufacturing
• Experience leading CI projects and Kaizen initiatives
• Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and PDCA
• Data visualization and analytics experience (Power BI/Tableau)
• Experience with ERP/WMS and automation concepts

Responsibilities

• Lead CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth
• Coordinate with account management and customers as needed
• Coach teams in lean methods and CI tools
• Develop and execute transformation plans with measurable results
• Provide regular progress reports against site objectives
