Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data-driven CI initiatives across warehousing, transportation, and manufacturing operations. You will identify gaps, lead cross-functional projects, and coach teams in lean methods, QA, and process optimization.

The role interfaces with General Managers and Directors, leveraging analytics, PDCA, and Kaizen to deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Travel up to 10–15% may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 7+ years in warehousing, transportation or manufacturing.
• Master’s degree holders with 5+ years in related areas; MBA requires undergrad in Engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Data visualization (Power BI/Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps to drive CI plans.
• Leads high-impact CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Coaches teams on Lean, QA, and CI methods and supports automation initiatives.
• Facilitates Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events to sustain improvements.
• Supervises CI/quality professionals and participates in hiring and performance management.
