Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer for Continuous Improvement to drive data-driven CI initiatives across operations. You will lead cross-functional teams, apply Lean tools, and mentor staff to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.

The role interfaces with multiple levels from shop floor to senior management and may supervise CI resources while reporting to the CI Manager/Sr. CI Manager and aligning with the General Manager or Director of Operations.

Qualifications

• Requires 7+ years in warehousing, transportation or manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma and CI methodologies.
• Strong data visualization and analytics skills with tools like PowerBI/Tableau.
• Familiarity with WMS and CAD tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collects data, performs analysis, and maps processes to identify gaps.
• Leads high-impact CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth.
• Coaches employees in CI, QA, and Lean principles and guides Kaizen events.
• Interfaces with account management and customers; supports start-ups and expansions.
• Manages CI resources and reports to CI Manager/Sr. CI Manager.
• Provides regular data-driven progress reports and supports actions to meet site objectives.
