Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering and automation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth. You will interface with employees at all levels and manage CI resources as needed.

The role requires strong Lean, data analytics, and project leadership skills; collaboration with operations leaders and account management is essential for driving sustained results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 7+ years’ experience in warehousing, transportation or manufacturing.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma and PDCA.
• Experience with CAD and warehouse design tools.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps.
• Leads high impact CI projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost.
• Coaches employees in CI, QA and Lean principles.
• May supervise CI engineers and participate in hiring decisions.
• Facilitate Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events.
• Provide regular data reports and recommendations for inventory/supply chain strategy.
