Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer to drive continuous improvement across operations. You will apply data analytics, engineering methods, and lean tools to identify gaps, lead change, and deliver improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The role interfaces with multiple levels and may supervise CI resources.

You will coordinate with CI managers and operation leaders, support automation projects, and report progress against site objectives with regular data-based updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain; 7+ years in warehousing/transportation/manufacturing; or Master’s with 5+ years
• 7+ years in warehousing/transportation and/or manufacturing industries
• Advanced MS Office and data visualization with SQL/DAX experience

Responsibilities

• Collects data, performs statistical analysis, maps processes, identifies gaps, and develops CI plans to drive safety, quality, delivery, cost improvements
• Leads high-impact CI projects, supports start-ups/retrofits/expansions including pricing inputs and go-live certifications
• Coaches on lean principles, conducts value stream maps and Kaizen events, and supports cross-functional teams
