Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy cutting-edge warehouse automation. You will collaborate with operations, IT, and vendor teams to prove value and feasibility, driving competitive differentiation.

Responsibilities include leading automation selection, building ROI, validating vendor FSD/SOW, and guiding on-site deployment with SAT testing and post-go-live support. Travel 30–40% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation or related domains.
• Experience with equipment like sortation, AGVs/AS/RS is a plus.
• Knowledge of data visualization and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation selection and validate new technologies for bids.
• Develop ROI analyses and present design options to stakeholders.
• Support vendor reviews and SOW validation with FSD checklists.
• Contribute to design validation, feasibility and performance.
• Manage project milestones and on-site deployment activities.
• Coordinate SAT testing and post go-live support.
