Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Automation Engineering professional to identify, pilot and deploy new automation tech across distribution sites. You will work with operations, IT and stakeholders to demonstrate value and feasibility, driving competitive differentiation.

Responsibilities include leading minor RFPs, validating FSD/SOW gaps, and coordinating vendor reviews, design validation and project implementation. Travel 30-40% is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Industrial or Mechanical Eng or related field.
Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
3+ years in warehouse automation, material handling or related field.
Experience with automation tech such as sortation, AGVs/robots helpful.
Strong financial/business case analysis skills.

Responsibilities

Lead or support automation RFP activities and ROI validation.
Develop design input to ensure operational performance.
Coordinate vendor reviews and quotations.
Manage project plans, milestones and on-site support.
Assist with SAT testing and post-go-live punch list tracking.
Collaborate with operations, IT, and customers across regions.
