Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy advanced automation technologies across customer sites.

You will work with operations, IT, and product teams to evaluate feasibility, build business cases, and drive pilots that deliver measurable efficiency gains. The role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, strong data analytics, and proven leadership in multi-project environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation, material handling, or related fields.
• Experience with automation design and equipment such as conveyors and AS/RS is a plus.
• Knowledge of data analytics, Lean methods, and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation selection and ROI justification for new business opportunities.
• Support SOW validation and vendor FSD reviews with the automation team.
• Contribute to solution designs to ensure performance and reliability.
• Coordinate on-site implementation, SAT testing, and post-go-live support.
• Manage project milestones, punch lists, and vendor communications.
