Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy cutting-edge warehouse automation technologies. You will collaborate with operations, IT, and product teams to demonstrate value and feasibility, driving efficiency and competitive differentiation.

Responsibilities include leading small RFPs, validating vendor options, performing ROI analyses, and supporting integration and SAT testing. Strong data analytics and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation, material handling technologies, industrial engineering or warehouse systems integration, Preferred.
• 2+ years in demonstrated experience in warehouse automation, Preferred.
• 2+ years experience in warehouse automation technologies (sortation conveyors, goods-to-person, autonomous vehicles/robots, ASRSs) would be preferable, Required

Responsibilities

• Lead minor RFP projects and support lead engineer on major projects by automation selection and validation.
• Build ROI and justification to select optimal solution design.
• Support automation project lead on vendor FSD/SOW gaps.
• Provide input to automation solution designs for implementation and operations performance.
• Coordinate on-site vendor communication and ensure proper escalation handling.
• Assist in data analytics to support system optimization and KPI tracking.
• Support SAT testing and post-go-live punch list tracking.
