Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy innovative warehouse automation technologies, driving efficiency and competitive differentiation across multiple business areas.

You will work with operations, IT, and solution teams to demonstrate value and feasibility, while coordinating with vendors and customers. The role emphasizes ROI-backed design validation, project management of deployments, and data-driven optimization of warehouse processes,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field, required.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation, material handling technologies, industrial engineering or warehouse systems integration, preferred.
• Experience with goods-to-person, AS/RS, conveyors, autonomous vehicles/robots is preferred.
• Financial/business case analysis experience desired to support ROI-focused evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation technology evaluation and ROI analyses for new projects.
• Support automation procurement and vendor reviews.
• Coordinate project plans and track milestones for deployments.
• Validate designs for performance, safety, and SLA targets.
• Collaborate across teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Provide data analysis to optimize warehouse systems.
