Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy warehouse automation technologies, partnering with operations, IT, and design teams to create measurable improvements.

You will evaluate automation options, build ROI analyses, support procurement, and manage implementations from pilot to go-live, with 30–40% travel across sites. This role blends engineering, analytics, and program management for rapid deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation or related field.
• Experience with automation technologies and data analytics.
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Travel required for on-site deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation technology selection and ROI justification on projects.
• Support SOW validation using the FSD checklist.
• Provide input on design validation for implementation and operation.
• Coordinate procurement and vendor reviews.
• Manage project milestones and on-site implementation.
• Perform data analysis to optimize warehouse systems.
• Support SAT testing and punch list tracking.
• Partner with vendors to resolve critical issues.
