Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Vice President & Assistant General Counsel for Mergers & Acquisitions to lead the legal aspects of corporate transactions, JV investments, and data-center-related deals. The role reports to the SVP/GC and requires strong business judgment and regulatory insight.

The position offers hybrid work with on-site presence and travel up to 25% as needed, overseeing deal structuring, due diligence, and negotiation across cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 5+ years of legal experience in M&A and corporate transactions.
• Experience with large-scale transactions valued above $100 million preferred.
• Experience in technology, digital infrastructure, or data center sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all legal aspects of acquisitions, mergers, and strategic transactions.
• Structure and negotiate purchase, merger, JV, investment, and ancillary documents.
• Lead due diligence and assess transaction risk.
• Advise executives on structure, diligence outcomes, and post‑closing obligations.
• Coordinate outside counsel and cross‑functional stakeholders through closing.
• Lead negotiation and drafting of major tenant leases and telecom licenses.
