Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Vice President, Legal – Mergers & Acquisitions with deep M&A expertise to lead the legal aspects of acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic transactions in a data center and digital infrastructure context.

You will partner with executives, manage complex negotiations, and guide cross-functional teams through diligence, structuring, and closing, while aligning legal risk with business objectives. Hybrid on-site work with travel required.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 5+ years of legal experience in M&A and corporate transactions.
• Major law firm M&A practices preferred.
• Significant experience leading transactions valued above $100 million.
• Data center, real estate, telecommunications, or technology sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all legal aspects of acquisitions, mergers, and strategic transactions.
• Structure and negotiate purchase agreements, merger agreements, JV agreements, investment agreements, and ancillary documents.
• Lead legal due diligence and manage transaction risk assessments.
• Advise executives on transaction structure, diligence outcomes, and post-closing obligations.
• Support acquisitions and development of data centers.
• Coordinate outside counsel and cross-functional stakeholders through closing.
• Negotiate major tenant office space leases and telecom licenses; review drafts.
• Manage outside counsel in litigation matters and set strategy.
• Analyze and resolve disputes with contractors and third parties.
