Job summary

CoreSite, LLC seeks a Vice President & Assistant General Counsel, Mergers & Acquisitions (Finance) to lead legal aspects of acquisitions, joint ventures, and complex transactions across data center assets. The role reports to the SVP & General Counsel and partners with senior executives to advance strategic growth.

The ideal candidate will bring deep M&A expertise, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to navigate regulatory, real estate, infrastructure, and operational considerations

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 5+ years of legal experience in M&A and corporate transactions.
• Major law firm M&A practices preferred.
• Significant experience leading transactions valued above $100 million.

Responsibilities

• Lead all legal aspects of acquisitions, mergers, and strategic transactions.
• Structure and negotiate purchase, merger, JV, investment, and ancillary documents.
• Lead due diligence and assess transaction risk.
• Advise executives on structure, diligence outcomes, valuation risks, protections, and post‑closing obligations.
• Support acquisitions and development of data centers.
• Coordinate outside counsel and cross‑functional stakeholders through closing.
• Negotiate major tenant leases and telecom licenses; review external drafts.
• Negotiate acquisition agreements and letters of intent.
• Manage outside counsel in litigation matters and set strategy.
• Resolve disputes with contractors, vendors, and third parties with outside counsel as needed.
• Promote CoreSite's culture and values.
• Other duties as assigned.
