Job summary

Vontier is establishing a new Center of Excellence spanning Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing to raise the rigor of how our operating companies plan, build, launch, and support products. The Vice President, Product Excellence will lead this COE, reporting to the Chief Innovation and Growth Officer.

This builder role requires influence across businesses, establishing common standards, tools, and talent practices while respecting market differences.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of progressive experience in product management, engineering, or product marketing leadership.
• Experience building and scaling a center of excellence across a multi-business organization.
• Deep fluency in roadmapping, portfolio strategy, NPI/stage-gate, pricing, voice-of-customer.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence with senior operating company leaders.
• Experience in industrial technology or related B2B hardware/software environment.
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel regularly (30–40%) across a global portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve enterprise product operating system: roadmapping, governance, stage-gate, and cadence.
• Partner with CPOs/engineering leaders to ensure rigorous roadmaps and investment decisions.
• Maintain tools and metrics for NPD funnel health, pricing, and cost analysis.
• Act as the bridge between business product teams and corporate teams for alignment.
