Job summary

Vontier Corporation seeks a visionary Vice President, Product Excellence to establish and lead an enterprise Center of Excellence spanning Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing. This builder role operates through influence, partnering with senior leaders to set standards, tools, and talent practices across a multi-business portfolio.

The VP will drive disciplined product line reviews, improve the NPD funnel, and raise quality and customer experience metrics while growing

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of progressive experience in product management, engineering, or product marketing leadership across multiple businesses.
• Experience building and scaling an enterprise Center of Excellence or shared-services function.
• Deep fluency in roadmapping, portfolio strategy, NPI/stage-gate processes, pricing, and VOC programs.
• Ability to lead through influence with senior leaders who are not direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the enterprise product operating system, including roadmapping, portfolio governance, and NPD processes.
• Partner with CPOs and CTOs to ensure rigorous, data-driven roadmaps and investment decisions.
• Maintain shared tools, templates, and metrics for decision-ready product line reviews.
• Bridge product teams across business units and corporate teams for alignment and support.
• Define enterprise standards for product quality and field performance and track them across units.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce quality escapes and speed issue resolution.
• Lead architecture governance, development methodology, and NPD execution discipline with engineering leadership.
• Champion the responsible use of AI across technical organizations and share best practices.
• Set enterprise standards for positioning, launch readiness, and GTM rigor with product marketing leaders.
• Build a maturity model, training curriculum, and career framework for product talent.
