Job summary

Vontier Corporation is establishing an enterprise-level Center of Excellence spanning Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing. The Vice President, Product Excellence will lead this COE, partnering with CPO, CTO, and product marketing leaders across businesses to set common standards, tools, and talent practices.

The role is a builder position, emphasizing influence over direct reports and enterprise-wide consistency.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of progressive leadership in product management, engineering, or product marketing.
• Proven track record building and scaling an enterprise-level COE or shared-services function.
• Deep fluency in roadmapping, portfolio strategy, NPI/stage-gate, pricing, and VOC.
• Ability to lead through influence with senior leaders who are not direct reports.
• Experience in industrial tech, manufacturing, or related B2B hardware/software.
• Bachelor's in engineering/business; MBA preferred.
• Willingness to travel regularly (30–40%).

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve enterprise product operating system (roadmapping, portfolio governance, stage-gate/NPD cadence).
• Ensure roadmaps, investment cases, and portfolio decisions are rigorous and data-driven.
• Maintain shared tools, templates, and metrics for portfolio reviews and decision making.
• Bridge between business product teams and corporate teams for alignment.
