Job summary

State of West Virginia seeks a fully qualified supervisor for the Vital Registration Office customer service unit. The role oversees four temporary and seven permanent staff, handles front-desk duties, answers the Health Statistics Center main line, and processes orders in electronic systems.

You will audit daily deposits, manage Vitalchek orders for priority processing, and conduct annual performance appraisals, with authority to approve leave and timecards.

Qualifications

• Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in clerical, administrative support, and/or records-processing work.
• At least one year must be as a lead worker.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage four temporary and seven permanent employees.
• Open, staff, and close the front customer service office and provide face-to-face customer service.
• Answer the main phone for the Health Statistics Center.
• Enter orders into the electronic order systems and complete orders.
• Compile and audit daily deposits (cash/check/card).
• Prepare orders from the Vitalchek Network for priority handling.
