Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, conducting preliminary testing, and taking measurements. No optical experience is required—training and tools will be provided to help you learn the industry while delivering a best-in-class patient experience.

Some weekend and evenings shifts are required. The wage range for this position is $16.00 to $21.00 hourly, commensurate with experience. MyEyeDr.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand basic math.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and chart medical history for the exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff throughout appointment.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during the visit.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other tests.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
